'Gears of War 2' is Beautifully Brutal

Survey the destruction of humanity in 'Gears of War 2.'

When Thomas Hobbes said the life of man is “poor, nasty, brutish, and short,” he could very well have had “Gears of War 2” in mind.

The third person sci-fi shooter, in stores now exclusively for the Xbox 360, follows Marcus Fenix and the soldiers of Delta Squad as they fight to save the human race from extinction at the hands of the subterranean Locust Horde.

That they do so with chainsaw bayonets is testament to how right Hobbes was. [Source]

The Cary video game company sold more than 2 million copies of its new title, “Gears of War 2,” around the world this past weekend, according to a press release from Epic and Microsoft. [Source]

Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core

I had been playing Final Fantasy IV in GameBoy Advance before but haven't really finished the game. Then came Final Fantasy V and so I stopped Playing Final Fantasy IV because I was hook up with the newer one. Then we had a Portable PlayStation and one of our games is the Final Fantasy VII Crisis Core. It is one addicting game, and I am hooked by it. The graphics are great, I just love playing this game. I am already in level 33 now, still trying to complete every mission available on my mail.

About the Gameplay:

The game mainly focuses around Zack Fair, a 2nd Class (and later 1st class) SOLDIER, and the events leading up to his destined demise. He meets many of the Final Fantasy VII characters, including Cloud Strife and Aerith Gainsborough, with whom he develops strong bonds. The game's storyline takes the player from the war with the Wutai to the events at Nibelheim, and right up to the time just before the Final Fantasy VII beginning. Some of the missing events or plot holes from Nibelheim and afterwards are explained in the animated feature, Last Order: Final Fantasy VII.

AVATAR The Last Airbender PSP Game

The Credits....

...and finally I have finished playing this game! Yeah! It is one addicting game, makes me want to play more of it. I really thought that I would fight the Fire Lord here, instead I was fighting those machines. The machines are design to help and fight the Fire Nation soldiers who are attacking other nations but the machines get wild and instead of helping, they're just hurting the people. Well, I beat the machines and the ones who made it I just forgot it's name hahaha... Very nice game, I suggest you should play it...

AVATAR: The Last Airbender

I have just started watching Avatar The Last Airbender Series last week and finished it before the week ends. I instantly liked it the first time I've watched it. And I got addicted to it that I want to watch the whole series, and I did actually able to finish it. Such a wonderful Anime. Then I started playing it's game too, in PSP. Here's the screen shots that I captured using my phone.

Aang and Sokka fighting.... I am still in Chapter 2, trying to rescue Katara. I still have a long way to go to be able to finish this game. So far, it was good and quite addictive. :)

UPDATE: Done Playing this one already. Check it out here: Avatar: The Last Airbender PSP Game.

Pokemon: Emerald Version

Here's another adventure and RPG game, Pokemon: Emerald Version. It took me a while to actually finish this game but it was fun, I like this game a lot. There are a lot of hidden places you have to discover here, some are just easy to find but others are difficult. Sometimes, it's quite confusing, I don't know where to go next but I was glad I manage to surpassed it, it took me a while though *lol*. Well, of course with my brothers help, I made it. He's a fan of Pokemon too. He bought a GBA game entitled 'Pokemon: Frigo Returns' and it turned out it was a fake. No wonder we can't go through the game anymore. He tried to changed it at the store where he bought it but they said they cannot accept it? I dunno, he just don't want to talk about it. So, guys, beware of those fakes Gameboy Games!

Our youngest brother had been a victim of this too, he had a Pokemon Chaos Black, a fake too, you can't get through the falls inside the cave. The end! The game looks pretty good but too bad you can't coninue playing it coz you're stuck!

These are the known fake games:
I guess you should check on the Nintendo Gold Seal and look closely at the sticker if the printing is of good quality. Many fakes have slightly distorted pictures on them and the print quality is poor, this will not be the case on a genuine Nintendo product.

Back to the Pokemon Emerald version, The elite four is very hard to beat, I tell you. I guess I was defeated twice after I had nailed them. After you beat them, you'll just wait for the credits to finish and you can get back on your saved game. :)

The Sims Pets 2

I've almost finished playing this game if i didn't stopped playing. It was already 99%! I played hard on that game because it'd kind of hard, especially the tricks. I stopped playing for months because I was hooked up with another game which is Pokemon Emerald version. When I tried to open my file on The Sims Pets 2, my file was gone! I don't know what happened but it was gone! Aaarrgghh!!! After that I didn't play the game anymore...

Well, the game was pretty nice though, I wouldn't have gone far playing it if it's not. First, you'll have to create your own character, your own Sim after that you're ready to play. Talk to the people around and they'll teach you what to do. To get a pet go to Four-Legged Friends pet shop just next to your apartment. Then you can start training your pet with different Command tricks. The more your pet has learned tricks, the better it will do in duels and competitions. The commands at first are so simple but it gets harder though as the game continues.

It's fun! You can try it out too if you want to hehehe... Have fun playing guys!

Grandia II

Finish playing this RPG on Dreamcast after how many days? Can't recall, hehehe... I just love playing this game, the graphics and animations are good and I like the songs too. I had a hard time playing this but still I enjoyed it. Well, I don't know if there are still people who plays this or plays a game on Dreamcast. Mostly, people now have their own portable Playstation, Nintendo DS or Gameboy.

Screen shots I got on the net... =)

Storyline: The story focuses on Ryudo the Geohound (a kind of mercenary) and his talking bird, Skye. Together they accept a mission from the town of Carbo's church as bodyguards for Elena, a Songstress of Granas, who is on her way to Garmia Tower. The job turns into something much more after an incident at the tower, and Ryudo and Elena find themselves traveling all over the world, meeting some new friends and some new enemies. The story is preceded by a war between two gods 10,000 years before the current events, called the Battle of Good and Evil. In this war, Valmar, the Devil of Darkness, battled Granas, the God of Light; their followers fought as well.

This war devastated the planet; it is said that Granas's sword created the Granacliffs, a series of giant cliffs across the face of the planet, as it fell from the sky. In legend, Granas defeated Valmar, but did not destroy him. Parts of Valmar's body, his essence, are stored all over the world in seals maintained by the church of Granas while Granas sleeps, regaining strength. Unfortunately, unknown to the general population of the world, Granas was actually killed by Valmar during the Battle of Good and Evil. Only a few individuals, mostly members of the church of Granas, are aware that Granas is actually dead and that Valmar was the winner of that war. It was decided long ago to conceal the truth of Granas's death to prevent the world from sinking into chaos and barbarism, as the population would know themselves to be effectively doomed. For an unknown reason, the church did not hide the fact that the moon of Valmar would appear in the sky to signal the dark god's revival. However, Granas left a powerful reminder of his legacy behind in the form of the Granasaber. [Source]
